The 2025 Tell the Story LCPS Film Showcase was a glamorous two-night event at the movies, highlighting the work of student filmmakers and journalists districtwide. Student writers, producers, directors, and actors walked the red carpet with their film crews and student advisors. Proud family members, along with APECHS students from the National Honor Society, lined the red carpet, flowers in hand, cheering on the talent.
The theme for the night was "Hollywood Glamour." There were three divisions designed for elementary, middle, and high school.
The 168-hour film competition was designated for elementary, the 98-hour film competition for middle school, and the final category, the 48-hour film competition, for high school entries.
Student film screenings followed the red-carpet event at 6, 7, and 8 p.m. Winners of the competitive films were announced following the 7 p.m. screening. Student reporters Mia from Conlee Elementary and Zaydrien from Mesa Middle School interviewed filmmakers on the red carpet and spoke with the winners of the elementary and middle school divisions.
Congratulations to all of our winners in the competitive film challenge. The winners of the 2025 Tell the Story LCPS Film Showcase are:

The student-produced film fest encourages students in elementary, middle, and high school to tell their story. Students are challenged to incorporate a specific line and prop in their films, all while racing against the clock to write, act, film, and edit their masterpiece within the time limit. You can watch all the student-produced films and broadcasts at https://www.youtube.com/@KRENStudios.
