You are cordially invited to join us for what promises to be a star-studded night of broadcast and film production, featuring young journalists and filmmakers from across the district as they introduce their student-produced stories and films to the public for the first time.
Brought to you by Roadrunner Rally, the 2025 Tell the Story LCPS Film Showcase is a filmmaking competition where students race against the clock to write, direct, film, and produce their very own movies and broadcast segments.
The theme for this year is 'Hollywood Glamour.' In the film competition, students are provided with specific criteria, including required lines and props, and are challenged to incorporate them into their films.
The competition is comprised of three categories: the 168-hour film competition, designated for the elementary level; the 98-hour film competition for the middle school level; and the final category, the 48-hour film competition for high school entries, for a total of three divisions in the competition.
LCPS families and community members are invited to celebrate a night of broadcast journalism and cinema. This is a free event. The 2025 Tell the Story LCPS Film Showcase will be held on March 26–27 at Cineport 10 - Allen Theatres. The red-carpet event will kick off at 5:00 p.m. on both nights. There will be film showings at 6:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m., and 8:00 p.m. each night.
The 2025 Tell the Story LCPS Film Showcase is proudly sponsored by Allen Theatres and the LCPS Foundation. Please find the attached invitation and program for a complete list of showtimes.
