LCPS offers online learning to students who attend school in Gadsden, Hatch, Alamogordo, Tularosa, Cloudcroft, Deming, Lordsburg, Animas, Cobre, Silver City, Quemado, Reserve, Truth or Consequences, Alamo Navajo, Magdalena, or Socorro area.

OWL classes are teacher-created, standards-based curriculum with a highly qualified LCPS teacher, not a canned course that is auto-graded. OWL provides students the opportunity to expand their learning beyond what is available in their local school district.

OWL is a good option for students who:

• Are advanced learners

• Have scheduling conflicts

• Have interest beyond what is being offered locally
